Hi, my name is Artis Bautra.

I promised myself to take action and build apps I truly like.

But before that, little story of my journey.

My journey into programming started in an unusual way. Around 20 years ago, mIRC was a very popular chat application where people created their own channels and communities. What fascinated me most was that these channels could run bots, and building them required knowledge of the mIRC scripting language. That is where I wrote my very first scripts.

Trivia games were especially popular at the time. Bots asked questions, users rushed to answer, and everyone competed for points. It was simple, fun, and incredibly motivating - and it taught me how logic, structure, and automation can create engaging experiences.

After that, I moved into web development and built my first HTML website. I honestly do not remember the exact name or domain anymore, but I still remember that nostalgic feeling of publishing something on the web for the first time.

As I grew with HTML, CSS, and PHP, I started taking on my first professional work - building news portals and e-commerce websites. That period shaped my practical mindset and gave me strong foundations in delivering real products.

Later came full-time 9-to-5 roles, and at one point I also experienced burnout. But modern technologies have renewed my energy and excitement.

I am here now to use today's tools to build my own products - you can explore them in the Projects section.
